PORT GAMBLE WEDDING
Danielle and Derek drove out from Nebraska to the Pacific Northwest to host their Port Gamble Washington Wedding, with all their family and friends in attendance. As you know, the PNW can be unpredictable and bring large rainstorms. That’s what we were welcomed with on their wedding day.
As I arrived to their rented AirBnB, the rain started to fall and had no signs of letting up. Our original plan was to capture all the images (family, bridal party, bride and groom), prior to the ceremony. The weather had other plans.
I kept a close eye on the radar, watching for any breaks that might happen. With a small break of rain in sight, Danielle, Derek and the rest of the bridal party headed under tree cover just outside of the home to capture some images.
With the ceremony time getting close, we made the decision to finish up the family images after the ceremony. Derek, Danielle and myself headed out to the local beach in the rain to finish up with the two of them. Rain and all, it was perfect. PERFECT.
St. Paul’s Church in Port Gamble is where their ceremony would be held. It’s a smaller, quaint, beautiful church with amazing blue walls. As family and friends gathered within the church, Danielle and Derek expressed their love for each other. Their ceremony couldn’t have been anymore beautiful. Following the ceremony, all the guests would head over to the Hood Canal Vista Pavilion for food, drinks and dancing.
The rain didn’t stop these two from getting married and it sure as heck didn’t stop these two from heading outside to capture some incredible moments.
Here is a little peek into Danielle and Derek’s wedding day…enjoy!
