I met up with Dani and Matt early morning, right before the sun rose for their Guanella Pass Engagement. This is the first time I have ever been to Guanella Pass, never mind photographed there.

The morning felt like fall, as the air was crisp and the sky was clear. Yellow and orange covered the ground as the fall colors began to show. We started our morning with a little walk on the opposite side of Mount Bierstadt. This is where the session would start.

As the sun began to rise, we captured these two in one of the most beautiful places Colorado offers. The rolling hills and mountains in the backdrop was a perfect setting for Dani and Matt’s engagement session. As we finished up with the first location, I wanted to head over to a field that sprawled Guanella Pass.

This beautiful field is where we would capture the remaining of their session. With some dancing, some running, some spinning and ‘breaking of backs’ (right Dani), the session came out exactly how I wanted it to. The colors, the couple and the light was absolutely perfect. You couldn’t have asked for a better fall morning.
